The Lions will receive RSL’s natural second-round draft pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft and up to $150,000 in general allocation money if Stajduhar meets some specific performance-based metrics, the club announced.

Stajduhar, 27, was Orlando City's longest-tenured player. He made 22 starts for the Lions, making 65 saves in 16 matches, winning nine overall and registering three clean sheets after joining the first team from the Orlando City Academy at the end of 2015.

“Mason has been a part of this club since the early days and, like our club, has grown greatly over those years,” Orlando City Executive Vice President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Luiz Muzzi said. “We want to thank him for his dedication over these last 10 years and, more importantly, for his trust in us and in the development pathway that we have here in Orlando. We wish him the best moving forward in his career.”

He had been under contract to Orlando City for 2025, with a club option for 2026.

Stajduhar had to be carted off the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital on June 28, 2024, after a violent collision with NYCFC forward Malachi Jones in a loss to the New York club. He needed surgery to repair a broken tibia and fibula in his right leg and did not play again last season.

"I’m super excited and grateful for the opportunity that (RSL CSO) Kurt Schmid and (head coach) Pablo Mastroeni are giving me here, and I’m looking forward to getting to work and making the most of the 2025 season,” Stajduhar said in a release from Real Salt Lake. “RSL has a reputation as a very well-run organization, one with a family atmosphere, clearly a perennially successful club.

"RSL had a good season last year. I’m looking forward to contributing to an even better year in 2025."
