  • Inter&Co Stadium also is undergoing technology upgrades ahead of the upcoming MLS season

Inter&Co, a Brazilian company, is the first financial institution with Latin-American roots to own the naming rights of a major stadium in the United States, according to a statement by the Major League Soccer and National Women's Soccer League teams and the company.

"It’s only fitting that as we enter our 10th season in MLS here in Orlando and ninth in the NWSL that we would partner for the next decade with a global company, not only committed to our community, but with a shared vision for the future,” Orlando City SC Chairman Mark Wilf said.  “We are truly excited about what we will build together, enhancing the fan experience in the venue and further connecting our soccer cultures in meaningful ways.”

Financial terms of the naming-rights deal were not revealed.

The 25,500-seat, soccer-specific stadium in downtown Orlando opened in March 2017 and was originally called Orlando City Stadium before signing a naming- rights deal with Exploria Resorts in Clermont in 2019.

Exploria will remain the official vacation club of Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride. Inter&Co previously had been the official financial institution of the clubs.

According to the clubs, upgrades at the stadium also are planned — including a new state-of-the-art video board, fascia LED throughout the bowl, a 16-foot-by-9-foot LED wall in the West Club and over 200 new TV monitors throughout the suites, premium spaces, concession stands and lower-level concourse. Technology enhancements will interactive concourse displays, Wi-Fi 6 and 6E technology, 5G antennas for increased cell phone coverage and new hospitality options such as "The Terrace" in Section 1.

The stadium will reopen to the public Jan. 27 for an Orlando City SC preseason FC Series friendly against Brazil’s Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

It will continue to expand its profile by bringing cultural and music events, starting with a postgame concert for ticket-holders following a 2024 Orlando City match, the club said.

Earlier this month, the Orlando Magic and Kia announced a new naming-rights deal for the city's downtown multi-use arena. It is now known as Kia Center after being called the Amway Center since it opened in 2010.
