ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 7-year-old junior drag racer died Tuesday night after a track accident at Orlando Speed World on Sunday.

Orlando Speed World confirmed on its Facebook page that "a tragic incident ... took place at OSW on Sunday."

Elienisse Zoe Díaz Rodriguez "had a vehicle accident. This, while she fulfilled her dream of driving her Junior Dragster," according to a GoFundMe page set up to help her family pay for her funeral expenses. The post said she was declared brain dead on Tuesday night.

No other details were available.

Orange County Fire Rescue said in a statement that it responded to "911 calls of a vehicle vs. pedestrian" on Sunday morning. It said, "A pediatric patient was transported as a trauma alert to Arnold Palmer Hospital." Another patient was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center's Advanced Life Support  unit, and a third patient was taken to AdventHealth East with injuries that were not life-threatening, the fire rescue statement said.

The identities and health status of the others involved were not available. 

In its Facebook post, Orlando Speed World said, "Motorsports is built on passion, but moments like these remind us of the risks that come with what we love. While injuries can heal, the pain of loss is immeasurable. We stand together in support, mourning, and prayer during this difficult time."

Eastland Christian School off Lake Underhill Road in east Orange County said on its Facebook page that the girl was a first-grade student at the school and expressed its condolences.

"She was a bright light in our school community, and we are thankful for the time we had with her. Her beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all of us," the post said.

"Our hearts go out to her family during this incredibly difficult time, and we ask that you join us in lifting them up in prayer and support."
