1. Orange County leaders ratify agreement with ICE, but expect continued debate
The agreement allows specially trained local law enforcement personnel to perform some of the duties of an immigration officer — including the ability to arrest undocumented immigrants currently in custody on state and local charges, and transfer them to ICE.
2. DeSantis pledges $100 million toward Indian River Lagoon revitalization
The goal is funding water quality improvement projects like upgrading septic to sewer conversions, reducing harmful stormwater runoff into the lagoon and muck removal.
3. Orange County continues fight to purchase the aging Wedgefield Pluris Water facility
A more than 600-page report was turned over to the county detailing erosion and other questionable conditions at the facility.

The use of messaging app Signal to discuss a sensitive operation has opened the administration to criticism from Democratic lawmakers.
