Not much of a change in our forecast for Independence Day as we start the day with plenty of sunshine, then watch scattered showers and storms develop by early to mid-afternoon.

Downpours and lightning will be our biggest threats.

The good news is that any lingering rain wraps up before our fireworks displays area-wide.
