WEST DELAND, Fla. — According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, a 50-year-old man wanted in connection with a pair of deaths in Binghamton, N.Y., was apprehended in Daytona Beach Wednesday afternoon.

Scott C. Mitchell was believed to be in the area after the Volusia County Sheriff's Office reported finding a vehicle connected to him.

Mitchell is wanted on two counts of second-degree homicide in connection with the deaths, which happened on Feb. 3.

He had changed vehicles at least once, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina, which reported finding an abandoned 2011 Chevrolet Impala connected to Mitchell on Feb. 8.

A $10,000 reward had been offered for information that led to Mitchell's arrest, and the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said on social media that the person who called in the tip would be able to collect it.
