ORLANDO, Fla. — The alligator seen online with its top jaw missing is now being cared for by Gatorland.
Gatorland said the female alligator might have been hurt after a fight with another gator or by a boat propeller.
They say her treatment right now consists of getting her fed and helping her get used to her new environment.
"We've had this injury before and (the alligators) have gone on to live long, healthy, happy lives. I expect nothing else here," said Mike Hileman, Gatorland Park Director.
Hileman said she's a great example of how tough alligators are in the wild.
He pointed out that the injury was already healed up, showing she had been surviving without any help for a while.
