MELBOURNE, Fla. – Thirty veterans, residents like Edward Hogan of Melbourne’s Victoria Landing Waterfront Assisted Living and Memory Care, now have their own Wall of Honor.

"For recognizing the birth of this nation, 245 years later, it’s great that we can turn out people who still remember that Fourth of July isn’t just a hot dog day,” said Hogan, a Navy veteran.

The pinning ceremony on Friday was a partnership with St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care. U.S. Space Force airmen from Patrick Space Force Base and other veterans gave the honors to the residents.

"We have such a deep appreciation for the commitment and sacrifice that you have made through your service to our country," Cami Leech Florio, of St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care, told the crowd.

The veterans and their family enjoyed a BBQ reception as they celebrated the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.
