The Central Florida Employment Council is holding a job fair in Orlando on Wednesday.
The job fair, which is expected to have more than 30 companies participating, will be held at the Central Florida Fair Exposition Park on West Colonial Drive from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Some of the companies expected to be at the job fair include Exploria Resorts, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Massey Services, Papa John’s Pizza, Walmart Health Services and Wyndham Destinations.
Job seekers should wear professional attire and bring resumes with them.
Parking as well as admission to the job fair is free.
With the pandemic still a concern, there will be a few health and safety measures in place at the job fair. Everyone is required to wear a face mask. Also temperatures checks will be conducted upon entry.
The job fair comes at a time when thousands of workers, specifically those in Central Florida’s struggling tourism industry, have lost their jobs or remain furloughed. Just last week, The Walt Disney Company announced that it will lay off 28,000 employees, including nearly 6,700 nonunion workers at Disney World.
