ORLANDO, Fla. — Broadway on Brevard’s 35th season continues with some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history.

1. For the second time in 30 years, “Hello, Dolly!” is now playing at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse.

2. Rita Morena stars as Dolly Gallagher Levi. “It’s so iconic. Never did I imagine that I’d get this role,” Rita told us, just moments before her final dress rehearsal before opening night.

3. The Space Coast arts community has been offering her lead after lead, including roles at the Melbourne. But this one – as turn-of-the-century matchmaker – is a big deal for her. “I has actually been something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl.”

4. Regarding Dolly: “She’s in everyone’s business. But she has a really soft side to her as well.”
