NATIONWIDE — Apio, Inc. is recalling some of its "Shake-Ups" premade salads after a sample tested positive for the bacteria that causes listeria.

According to the company, it's recalling five SKUs of its “Eat Smart Single-Serve Salad Shake Ups” bowls after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency tested a random sample of its Sweet Kale/Chou Frise Doux Shake-Up (with “best before December 14, 2018” date).
It was ultimately tested positive for listeria monocytogenes.
Apio said it issued the recall for its Shake-Up products produced on the same “best before" date as the one that tested positive for listeria.

The premade salads are sold and distributed in 11 states across the U.S., including Florida.
The company said it's are not aware of any cases in which consumers have become sick from the products.
