Kevin Brassard, a Disney cast member and stunt performer who originated the role of Indiana Jones in the “Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular!” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, attended the premiere and got to meet Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford.

Brassard, who now plays the part of the show’s “director,” was joined on the red carpet by fellow stunt performer Michele Waitman, who plays the part of Marion in the show.

“If I could tell myself starting with this show more than 30 years ago about today, first of all, I’d say strap in, it’s gonna be a wild ride,” Brassard said in a post on the Disney Parks Blog. “And you’re gonna love it.”

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular has been a staple at Hollywood Studios since 1989. The show opened in August, three months after the park, then called Disney-MGM Studios, opened to the public.

The show, which takes place in a 2,000-seat outdoor theater, takes the audience behind-the-scenes of  “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” with stunts and reenactments of scenes from the movie—including the iconic boulder chase scene. The show lasts about 35 minutes and includes audience participation.

For Brassard and Waitman, attending the premiere for the new “Indiana Jones” movie and meeting Ford was an unbelievable experience.

“We so appreciate Disney making this huge dream come true,” Brassard said.

Ahead of the movie’s theatrical release, Disney has added a limited-time Indiana Jones-inspired experience at Hollywood Studios. A pop-up bar called Indiana Jones and the Den of Destiny has opened next to the stunt show.

The bar, open through Aug. 15, features drinks inspired by the world of Indy as well as displays with movie costumes and props.

And at the end of the month, a few new “Indiana Jones”-inspired items will be added to the menu at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs.
