BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will offer online educational activities for kids while schools are closed in response to the coronavirus.

- The attraction is offering free online programming in the meantime
- Facebook Live videos will cover topics like living in space, rocketry and more
The education team at Kennedy Space Center will have Facebook Live videos that cover topics such as living in space, Mars, and rocketry. Tours of Space Shuttle Atlantis and the Astronaut Training Experience will also be offered.
The videos will pair with at-home activities kids can do using everyday items like paper towel tubes and rubber bands to build a rocket.
The Facebook Lives will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 a.m. ET for young children. Older children, including those in high school, can tune in at 1 p.m. for programming geared toward them.
Kennedy Space Center says there will also be a Q&A session at the end of each Facebook Live.
There are also several downloadable activities available at the Kennedy Space Center website.
