Sandbags will be made available at eight Lake County locations on Tuesday, July 6, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. (ALL HAVE CLOSED FOR THE DAY)

Residents must bring their own shovels and are limited to 10 bags of sand per household. No tools will be provided at sand deployment sites, and residents are responsible for filling their own sandbags.

No sandbags will be dispensed during storm conditions.

  • Sorrento area: East Lake Sports and Community Complex, 24809 Wallick Road, Sorrento, 32776.
  • Leesburg area: P.E.A.R. Park, 26701 U.S. 27, Leesburg, 34748.
  • Umatilla area: North Lake Regional Park, 40730 Roger Giles Road, Umatilla, 32784.
  • Minneola area: Minneola Athletic Complex, 1300 Fosgate Road (13930 Education Ave.), Minneola, 34715.
  • City of Eustis: Fire Station #22, 100 West Norton Ave., Eustis, 32726
  • City of Groveland: Open lot on Crittenden Street behind Advanced Auto Parts
  • City of Clermont (West Park): 658 12th St., Clermont, 34711

  • Oviedo: The City of Oviedo will offer sandbags Tuesday, July 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1655 Evans St. Oviedo, 32765.
  • Sanford: Public works facility, 800 West Fulton St. 
  • Altamonte Springs: Eastmonte Park: 830 Magnolia Dr. (off S. Ronald Reagan Blvd.). Date: Monday, July 5, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sand and bags are available, but residents must bring their own shovels and are encouraged to keep the bags throughout the hurricane season.
