ORLANDO, Fla. — Rep. Cory Mills won reelection to the U.S. House Tuesday. Democratic challenger Jennifer Adams came in second after polls closed.
Mills reported donations of just under $400,000 in the race, which dwarfed that of Adams, who reported donations of under $50,000.
Mills was assigned to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, as well as the Committee on Armed Services during his time in office, possibly in relation to his military background. Mills is a U.S. Army combat veteran, and a recipient of the Bronze Star.
Adams, who was endorsed by the Orlando Sentinel, is an Orlando native. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Florida Community Partnership, as well as serves on other non-profit and government advisory boards, according to her campaign website.
