ORLANDO, Fla. – Since last March, it has been rare to see people lining up for events. But as you roll on through the International Drive area, you're apt to do a double take, especially near the WonderWorks attraction.
- WonderWorks—an amusement park for the mind—has just launched a new interactive exhibit called Sphere We Go!. “It's a 3D TV screen that talks about the five layers of the atmosphere,” Wonderworks' Sr. Sales Manager Nohemi Hernandez said.
- Sphere We Go! is a 3D hologram, but no special glasses are needed.
- The exhibit focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Sphere We Go! got its name from the public, as WonderWorks held a poll on social media. It won with 51%, beating out Get Outta Sphere! by 13-percentage points.
- During our visit, we also wanted to get a sense of the spring break culture. “It gives us great hope,” Hernandez said, referring to the line outside. “Every month has gotten better.”
- WonderWorks usually has about 30 - 50 people an hour, according to Hernandez. Now, it's up to 100.
