SHREWSBURY, Mass. - The St. John's baseball team returns 16 players from last years state finalist squad, so the Pioneers have talent and experience, they also have team chemistry, this is a group that loves being together.  "Yeah I'm really excited about the team this year," said Captain Andrew Schmit, "I feel we're more close knit than we were last year, a lot of returners, 16 returners, we're really super excited to get going now."

"I feel like this year we definitely have a special group," said Captain Jack Forgues, "we all like spending time with eachother, so it's good to be back out here and I feel like we can really do something special this year."

"Everyone gets along really well," said Captain Brayden Mercier, "we have a ton of talent, we have a good work ethic too I think, so hopefully we come out of the gates hot."
