KENNEDY SPACE CENTER — SpaceX's Falcon 9 had a successful launch of the SES O3b mPOWER mission on Tuesday.
SpaceX sent off the satellite to medium-Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
According to the company’s website, SES has launched six out of 13 O3b mPOWER satellites and started providing global connectivity services in April 2024.
This the first flight for the first-stage booster, B1090, supporting this mission.
Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
This will be SpaceX's second launch of the day, following its NROL-149 mission Tuesday morning in California.
