VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County residents will get another opportunity to receive hurricane recovery support and aid through FEMA’s upcoming Disaster Recovery Center in Daytona Beach.
More than 1,000 residents visited FEMA’s DRC during its last operation in Daytona.
FEMA is currently operating a DRC in Deltona until Wednesday, Nov. 27, but plan to open another one at the John H Dickerson Community Center in Daytona Beach this weekend.
The recovery center, at 308 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will run Nov. 30 through Dec. 7, and operate daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Residents can meet one-on-one with FEMA representatives and other disaster assistance organizations, including the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Red Cross.
The organizations provide personalized support and help residents explore recovery options.
Volusia County residents recovering from Hurricane Milton are encouraged to visit a recovery center for assistance.
FEMA will assess the demand for services at both locations to determine if it will return to those sites at a later date.
Residents can also apply for assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov, through the FEMA mobile app, or by calling 800-621-3362.
