Two locations will open Tuesday where people still dealing with storm damage from recent hurricanes can apply.

This assistance could be the lifeline that many people impacted by the storm have been waiting for, especially to help with uninsured costs that can grow.

FEMA representatives will be at Apopka City Hall and at the Bithlo Community Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help people apply, according to Orange County.

Apopka City Hall
120 E. Main Street
Apopka, Fla., 328030

Bithlo Community Center
18501 Washington Avenue
Orlando, Fla., 32820

Anyone who was displaced and needs temporary lodging or had personal property damaged or destroyed can potentially be eligible, and that aid is applicable to hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton.

Residents must provide some information when they come, including:

  • Current contact information
  • Address at the time of the hurricane and where they are currently staying
  • Social Security and insurance information, if insured
  • A list of damaged or lost belongings and banking information to where FEMA can send funds if they qualify for aid and choose the direct deposit option

If residents are not able to make it into a physical location, they can apply for assistance online or call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362.
