ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Orlando’s newest attraction, Penguin Trek, will have its grand opening on July 7, park officials announced Thursday.

The ride will be located within the park’s all-new area, Antarctica Realm. Officials said the attraction will take riders of all ages aboard a snowmobile-styled ride cars to embark on an expedition through the wilderness of Antarctica.

Officials said the family coaster will feature two launches and speeds reaching up to 43 mph. The 3,020-foot track winds through indoor and outdoor environments, presenting a series of twists and turns. Park officials said the true highlight of Penguin Trek awaits guests at the end of the ride, as they find themselves immersed in the confines of the penguin habitat.

Annual pass members will have exclusive access to Penguin Trek with special ride times starting July 2, officials said. Guests can take advantage of the park’s Fourth of July sale, which offers up to 55% off tickets, Fun Cards and annual passes from June 17-23.
