OSTEEN, Fla. — Fire crews are working to put out a major wildfire in the Osteen area of Volusia County.

According to the Florida Forest Service, the fire spread more than 900 acres and was 95% contained as 11 p.m. Sunday.

Volusia County Fire Resuce says there have been no reports of injuries or damaged structures.

Smoke has been seen over a wide area along the border of Volusia and Seminole counties.

"We're asking people when they drive through these smoky conditions, please slow down," said Volusia County Fire Rescue Batllion Chief Scott Smoak. "Make sure they have their low-beam headlights on, and be real cautious of possible firefighters or fire apparatus along the roadways."

If the fire continues, the county has arranged for the fairgrounds to shelter large animals.
