ORLANDO, Fla. — From the theme parks to municipalities, fireworks will dance across the sky and residents will gather to celebrate the Independence Day holiday in their own ways. There are plenty of options for family activities. Most events are free unless otherwise noted. Check out our event guide below:

Brevard County

  • (CANCELED) "Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky" Fireworks Celebration
    July 2, 5 p.m. (Evening starts) - 9 p.m. (Fireworks) | Port Canaveral
    If you arrive early, a kids' zone will help keep the children entertained, and food trucks and live music by DJ Michael Van Ness will keep the party going for everyone. Public access for viewing the fireworks is available at the Cove District and the Port's Exploration Tower Lawn. No public viewing locations are available on the north side of Port Canaveral ("A" Cruise Terminals and North Cargo Operations) or on any portion of State Road 401. Some lots might charge for parking.

  • City of Palm Bay Annual Independence Day Celebration
    July 2, 5 p.m. (Events start) - 9:15 p.m. (Fireworks) | Palm Bay Campus Eastern Florida State College
    Live music by Joseph Jevanni & Intensity Live, a kids' zone with inflatables, face painting, 20 food trucks, and vendors will come together to help Palm Bay celebrate America. Those festivities lead up to the fireworks.

Flagler County

  • United Flagler 4th Community Celebration
    July 4, 10 a.m. (Starts) - 9 p.m. (Fireworks) | Elizabeth Evans Park and Simpson Cove
    The Stars and Stripes parade steps off the celebration before activities move to Veterans Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., including music, a dunk tank, bounce houses and line dancing. The main event will be the Fireworks over the Runways at Flagler Executive Airport in Palm Coast.

  • Lady Lake's Inaugural Fireworks and Festival
    July 1, 5 p.m. (Evening starts) - 9:15 p.m. (Fireworks) | Guava Street Athletic Complex
    Groove with live music from Voodoo Vibe and enjoy a variety of food trucks and bounce houses early in the day. Then pull out your blankets and chairs to watch the town's first July 4 fireworks display over a private property along U.S. Highway 27/441 near the Town Hall. The best view will be from the festival site, with additional viewing locations at the Rolling Acres Sports Complex, Lady Lake Public Library, Log Cabin at Veterans Park, Snooky Park and the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake.

  • Freedom on the Waterfront Independence Day Celebration - Mount Dora
    July 3, 4 p.m. (Evening starts) - 9:15 p.m. (Fireworks) | Elizabeth Evans Park and Simpson Cove
    On the stage at Elizabeth Evans Park, DJ Chino and The Legendary Wailers will rock the celebration, and food trucks and beverages will be available. In Simpson Cove, children can play at a kids' zone, and a live jazz band will perform starting at 6:30 p.m. VIP tickets are available and include food, a beer sampling, a cash bar, free swag and preferred viewing of The Legendary Wailers performance. That entertainment will lead up to the fireworks over Lake Dora.

  • Groveland 4th of July Celebration
    July 4, 4 p.m. (Evening starts) - 9:15 p.m. (Fireworks) | Lake David Park
    Celebrate the Fourth of July with a car show featuring muscle cars, classics and antique models — plus festival food. Live entertainment will be provided by country music singer Randall Crawford and country music-rap star Cowboy Troy. Fireworks will begin about 9:15 p.m.

  • City of Tavares 4th of July Parade and Fireworks
    July 4, 4:45 p.m. (Starts) - 9 p.m. (Fireworks) | Wooten Park
    The family-friendly event features live music, community vendors, food trucks and a family fun zone.

    • 4:45 p.m. | Street party on Main Street
    • 5 p.m. | Seaplane flyover on Main Street leads to a parade going east from the Courthouse past City Hall to St. Clair Abrams Avenue

    • 6 p.m. | Kids dance party with a live DJ at Tavares Square and The Rundown (five-piece rock band) performs on the main stage at Wooten Park

Marion County

  • Salute to Veterans Rodeo
    July 30-July 1, 8 p.m. | Southeastern Livestock Pavilion
    The rodeo in Ocala includes traditional events such as bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping, and the crowd-favorite, bull riding. Spend 4th of July with some of the best rodeo athletes from all around come to battle it out. Of all ticket proceeds, 10% will be donated to a local veteran-based 501 (c)(3) organization that supports and honors veterans.

  • Iggy's Four on the Fourth Freedom Run
    July 4, 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. | Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park
    Begin July 4 with a 4-mile run through southeast Ocala, starting and ending at Veterans Memorial Park on a course that winds through a tree-shaded neighborhood. Runners will get a token American flag just before the finish line, and first- and second-place finishers will receive custom awards.

  • Eaton's Beach July 4 Fireworks Show
    July 4, 6 p.m. (Event starts) - 9 p.m. (Fireworks) | Eaton's Beach, Weirsdale
    This year's fireworks mark the 10th anniversary. Nate Leslie will play music from 6 p.m. until the fireworks end. Food and drink specials will be available all day. The Sons of American Legion Post #347 will collect $5 per wristband for beach access after 5 p.m. to enjoy the fireworks. Children are free with a paying adult. VIP tables and Owner's Deck rentals are available to purchase.

Orange County

  • July 4 Weekend Celebration
    July 1-4, nightly | SeaWorld Orlando
    The theme park gives visitors multiple opportunities to view SeaWorld's celebration of America fireworks, lighting up the sky over the park's large central lake each night of the four-day holiday weekend. The display, synchronized to inspiring music, can be viewed from any spot along the water or from Bay Stadium. The fireworks are included with admission, and reserved seating in Bay Stadium is available for an additional price. Special ticket prices are available on tickets, passes and Fun Cards are available through July 4.

  • Disney's Celebrate America! - A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky and Heartbeat of Freedom
    July 4, 9 p.m. (EPCOT fireworks); July 3-4 9:20 p.m. (Magic Kingdom fireworks) | Walt Disney World
    Spectacular fireworks splash the skies over Walt Disney World with color almost nightly, but the Magic Kingdom has a special display planned for July 3 and 4 — Disney's Celebrate America! At EPCOT, the fireworks and special-effects spectacular EPCOT Forever will add a patriotic finale with a "Heartbeat of Freedom" theme. Both parks will offer specialty food with a holiday theme. These festivities are included with park admission.

  • Fireworks at the Fountain
    July 4,  4 p.m. (Event starts) - 9:10 p.m. (Fireworks) | Lake Eola, downtown Orlando
    Orlando's Independence Day celebration brings the Central Florida community together around the city's scenic lake in the heart of downtown. Families can enjoy live entertainment and a variety of food and beverage vendors. As night falls, the sky will be illuminated with fireworks, accompanied by patriotic music played by the Orlando Concert Band. For those who can't make it down, the event will be broadcast on TV.

Osceola County

  • Fourth of July Celebration
    July 4, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Old Town Entertainment District - Kissimmee
    Celebrate Independence Day in Old Town with live music from Rocktown on the Main Stage and with fireworks that illuminate the district for free. Old Town's unique shops, themed restaurants and bars, and rides will be open all day.

  • Star-Spangled Celebration
    July 4, noon (starts) | Promenade at Sunset Walk
    A four-day, family-friendly party will culminate with a fireworks spectacular on Fourth of July night. The event includes street markets, street performers, car and truck shows and 30 venues for dining, entertainment and shopping and music from DJs D FALC and Scotty B. Over the four days starting July 1, the bands Osaka Fall, The Rundown, the Layla Brisbois Band, Barfly and Red Mint Trio will perform after 5 p.m.

Seminole County

  • Red Hot & Boom
    July 3, 4 p.m. (Event starts) - 9:30 p.m. (Fireworks) | Cranes Roost Park - Altamonte Springs
    Live music, food, families, friends and fireworks come together for this celebration of America's independence. Performers include JP Saxe, McKenna Grace, No Lonely Hearts, 408, Benson Boone and Olivia Lunny. Fireworks are choreographed to music. The event wraps up at 11 p.m.

  • Star Spangled Sanford July 4 on the Riverwalk
    July 4, 7 p.m. (Event starts) - 9:15 p.m. (Fireworks) | Fort Mellon Park, the Riverwalk and Waterfront
    The official event doesn't begin until the evening, but Fort Mellon Park is open from 7 a.m. until sunset and offers a park playground, basketball courts, pavilions and the splash pad. Admission is required for the splash pad. Food vendors and food trucks start serving at 6 p.m. for people who arrive early. The Waterfront Celebration starts at 7 p.m. with music provided by K92.3 FM, a play zone for children and live entertainers. Bring a blanket or chairs to set up early for good vantage points along the lakefront and in grass-covered spaces between Palmetto Avenue and San Juan Avenue to view the fireworks spectacular over Lake Monroe. The green space is closed because of construction. The pyrotechnics display will be synchronized with upbeat music and patriotic tunes. 

  • Celebration of Freedom - Winter Springs
    July 4, 5 p.m. (Evening starts) - 9:10 p.m. (Fireworks) | Central Winds Park
    Festivities begin with a veterans tribute at 5:20 p.m. at the main stage. An evening of live music by the bands Rockit Fly and the Paradigm Party will get the party started, with food trucks and community vendors on site. An activity area for children on a baseball field will include bounce houses, free face painting, balloon animals and a holiday-themed photo booth. At 8 p.m., city officials will hold a Freedom Fling toss with T-shirts and giveaways at the main stage.

Sumter County

Volusia County

  • Independence Day Block Party
    July 1, 10 a.m. | Lake Tanger Outlets, Daytona Beach
    This free event specifically caters to your children and features face painting, live music and a kids' fun zone.

  • July 4 Celebration  — New Smyrna Beach
    July 4, 4 p.m. (Event starts) - 9:15 p.m. (Fireworks) | Riverside Park
    Gourmet food will satiate your hunger, live music by Band Behavior will get you dancing, a fireworks display will finish off the night with a bang (or many of them). For those who don't want to deal with the heat, the 4th of July Casino event in Brannon Center will offer air-conditioned comfort and casino-style games, but you'll need a ticket for that.

  • Firecracker Festival — DeLand
    July 3, 6 p.m. (Event stars) - 9 p.m. (Fireworks) | Earl Brown Park
    The evening starts with food trucks, vendors, a kids' zone and a pie-eating contest presented by Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shoppe. That will be followed by a free concert by Pop Culture Poets at the amphitheater, leading up to the start of fireworks at about 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the show. The event is free.

  • Daytona Beach Fourth of July Veterans Parade
    July 4, 10 a.m. | Main Street Daytona Beach
    The parade, organized by Volusia Veterans, will pay tribute to veterans and first responders. It will start on Main Street at Atlantic Avenue and travel west on Main Street to the base of the bridge. Before the parade at 9 a.m., veterans will be honored at a ceremony by the Clock Tower, between the Boardwalk and the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.

  • Daytona Beach Fireworks
    July 4, 9:45 p.m. | Daytona Beach Boardwalk
    Fireworks will illuminate the sky over the Atlantic Ocean, and spectators can get the best views from the city's boardwalk behind the Hilton Oceanfront Resort, on the beach or in Breakers Oceanfront Park. Before the pyrotechnics, Eagles tribute band After Eagles will play a free concert at the Oceanfront Bandshell. VIP concert tickets are available for $15.

  • EDGEfest 4th of July Celebration
    July 4, 7 p.m. |  Edgewater City Hall complex or Menard May Park
    The celebration at City Hall includes food trucks, vendors, a cooling station, live music/DJ, games and activities. The Menard May Park festivities will feature a DJ, food trucks, vendors, a beer tent, a dunk tank, an inflatable obstacle course, Gobbler's Lodge mobile archery range, games and activities. The fireworks at dusk can be seen from both locations, but you'll get a river view at Menard May Park.
