ORLANDO, Fla. — Lace up your sneakers — the Orlando Magic is offering basketball camps for kids this summer in Orlando and Tampa.

The Magic will host 44 basketball camp sessions this summer, designed for boys and girls ages 7 - 17.

Registration is open, but with limited space. Weekly camps start May 30 at the Rosen Jewish Community Center in Orlando. Parents can register at www.orlandomagicyouth.com or call 406-698-6496 for more information.

Each camp session will have:

  • Special guest appearances
  • Expert instruction provided by The National Basketball Academy
  • Personalized attention with a coach (no greater than a 1:10 coach-to-camper ratio)
  • Basketball lectures, drills, skill development stations and live games
  • Individual player evaluations provided by coaches
  • An official camp T-shirt, full-size NBA basketball, Magic bag and more
  • One ticket to a 2023-‘24 Orlando Magic home game at Amway Center

Orlando:

  • Week 1: May 30 — June 2 (Rosen JCC & Lake Mary Prep)

  • Week 2: June 5 — June 9 (Holy Family, Orlando Sportsplex, South Econ)

  • Week 3: June 12 — June 18 (Rosen JCC, Orlando Sportsplex, Minneola Charter School)

  • Week 4: June 19 — June 23 (Holy Family, West Orange Rec. Center, Four Corners Charter)

  • Week 5: June 26 — June 30 (Orlando Sportsplex, Rosen JCC, Lake Nona Middle School)

  • Week 6: July 10 — July 14 (Orlando Sportsplex, Goldenrod, Holy Family, & Kissimmee Christian Church)

  • Week 7: July 17 — July 21 (Orlando Sportsplex, Rosen JCC, Lake Mary Prep, Hunter’s Creek)

  • Week 8: July 24 — July 28 (Minneola Charter School, Lake Nona Middle School, Saint Leo University*)

  • Week 9: July 31—Aug. 4 (Rosen JCC & Orlando Sportsplex)

  • June 2 — Special Needs Camp (Barnett Park)

  • July 16 — Mini Camp (St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School)

 Tampa/Lakeland:

  • June 5 — June 9 (New Port Richey Rec. Center & Mary Help of Christians Center)

  • June 12 — June 16 (American Youth Academy)

  • June 19 — June 23 (St. Paul Lutheran Church & New Hope Church United Methodist Church)

  • June 26 — June 30 (Bible Based Fellowship Church & Bayshore Christian School)

  • July 10 — July 14 (American Youth Academy)

  • July 24 — July 28 (New Hope Christian United Methodist Church & Saint Leo University*)

  • July 31 — Aug. 3 (New Port Richey Rec. Center & Bible Based Fellowship Church)

The team will also host an overnight camp at Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida, from July 24 — 28. The camp, which includes meals and housing, is designed for higher skilled players and is recommended for kids ages 13 and older.

The overnight camp is known to host participants from different countries.

The Orlando Magic and Bounce Out The Stigma will also hold a special needs youth basketball clinic for children at Barnett Park Recreation Center on June 2 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Bounce Out The Stigma, the 2019 Jr. NBA Program of the Year, serves children and young adults with neurological and functional disorders, such as Autism, Epilepsy, ADD, ADHD, Asperger syndrome and Down syndrome.
