ORLANDO, Fla. — One Pine Hills family is dealing with significant damage after flames engulfed the back of their home.

- The fire erupted at a home on Grassmere Lane, located off Silver Star Road
- No one was home, according to Orange County Fire Rescue
- Damage to the back of the home appears to be a complete loss
According to Orange County Fire Rescue, firefighters received a call about the fire on Monday evening. A caller reported seeing flames or smoke coming from the back of the home on Grassmere Lane, off of Silver Star Road in Orlando.
Fire rescue says no one was home at the time, though photos posted by the agency show how significant the damage is on the back of the house.

At this time, Spectrum News 13 has not been made aware of the cause of the fire. The Red Cross will be assisting the family as they assess the damage.
