ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A school resource officer in Altamonte Springs has been fired after his arrest Friday morning by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the Altamonte Springs Police Department said in a statement.

Steven Selph was charged with 10 counts related to child pornography and is being held in the Lake County Detention Center without bond, authorities said.
The FDLE had notified the Altamonte Springs Police Department on Tuesday that its agents executed a search warrant at the home of an Altamonte Springs police officer.
At the time, Selph was immediately suspended without pay, pending a criminal investigation by the FDLE and an administrative investigation, the Altamonte Springs Police Department said in a statement.
“We will continue cooperating with all of our law enforcement partners to aggressively pursue anyone, no matter what position they hold, who is responsible for this type of behavior,” the Altamonte Springs department said in the statement.
