TAMPA, Fla. – A Tampa police office narrowly escaped injury last week when a wrong-way driver sped at him on an Ybor City street.

Police released video of the incident, which shows a woman drive at the officer’s cruiser and then to the left of the police car, going onto the curb.

After making contact with the driver, who showed several signs of impairment, she was taken into custody.

According to police, her Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC) was 0.275, about three times the limit.

There were no injuries.

Police did not release her identity. She was charged with driving under the influence.
