TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Rays have released their 2023 spring training schedule, marking the team’s 15th Grapefruit League season at Charlotte Sports Park.
The 2023 schedule features 30 official Grapefruit league games — 14 home and 16 road — plus a home exhibition game against a World Baseball Classic team on Mar. 9.
Pitchers and catchers report to Port Charlotte on Feb. 14 and start their first workout the following day. The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Feb. 20.
The home schedule features five weekend games, four of which are against American League East opponents.
- Sunday, Feb. 26: Home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates
- Tuesday, Feb. 28: Home game against the Yankees
- Thursday, Mar. 2: Home game against the Minnesota Twins
- Sunday, Mar. 5: Home game against the Baltimore Orioles
- Monday, Mar. 6: Home game against the Miami Marlins
- Thursday, Mar. 9: A World Baseball Classic Team
- Friday, Mar. 10: Home game against the Atlanta Braves
- Monday, Mar. 13: Home game against the Detroit Tigers
- Tuesday, Mar. 14: Home game against the Minnesota Twins
- Thursday, Mar. 16: Home game against the Atlanta Braves
- Saturday, Mar. 18: Home game against Boston Red Sox
- Sunday, Mar. 19: Home game against Toronto Blue Jays
- Wednesday, Mar. 22: Home game against the Philadelphia Phillies
- Friday, Mar. 24: Home game against the New York Mets
- Saturday, Mar. 25: Home game against Boston Red Sox
The Rays will make two trips to each of Fort Myers (Red Sox) and Tampa (New York Yankees), and one trip to each of Sarasota (Orioles) and Dunedin (Blue Jays).
The team completes its spring schedule with a road game against the Yankees on Monday, Mar. 27, in Tampa.
