“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond!” will officially open on June 13, Disney World announced Friday.
The reimagined stage show will be set shortly after the events of the Disney-Pixar film “Finding Dory,” with the fish from the dentist office telling their version of “Finding Nemo.”
Just like its predecessor, Big Blue…and Beyond, but with a shortened runtime of 25 minutes, will feature live performers and puppets as well as musical numbers.
The show will also have several updates, including new set pieces and a new LED video wall.
“The stage has been revamped with all-new lighting elements, and the show just pops like never before,” said Chris Iannuzzi, puppet master with Disney Live Entertainment, during a media event last month.
Disney has not yet released showtimes for the show. However, it will be available as a Lighting Lane option as part of the Disney Genie+ service starting June 13.
The original “Finding Nemo-The Musical” debuted at the park in 2007, replacing “Tarzan Rocks.”
