ORLANDO, Fla. — A day after video video was circulated online showing an unknown individual in a wheelchair who appears to set a fire at the Pulse Memorial in Orlando, a 64-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the blaze.
The announcement was made by the Orlando Fire Department Arson/Bomb Squad Tuesday.
According to an OFD statement, Mark Anthony Henson was arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief.
The fire happened on Oct. 12, but surveillance video of the incident only recently came to light. The onePulse Foundation posted the video over the weekend, which appears to show a person in a wheelchair go to the wall in the 1900 block of South Orange Avenue and set it on fire.
Foundation officials said they had only recently received the footage and asked people to help find the person seen in the video.
Aside from his name and age, OFD officials did not immediately release any information about Henson, or how he was identified as a suspect in the fire.
No one was injured by the fire, but officials said three Angel Banners other mementos at the memorial were damaged.
This is a developing story and more information will be posted as it becomes available.
