ORLANDO, Fla. — Sunday was the last home game of the regular season for the Orlando City Soccer club.
There was purple smoke and a lot of fun for the “Ruckus” Fans tailgating.
Orlando City fans Ridge Russel and his dad, Owen, have been fans for a decade.
"Last regular home game, need the win, a crawfish boil is the only way to do it. We came back from Louisiana this Thursday,” said Russell.
They said they had been proud of the team this year, and say there is nothing like an Orlando City Soccer game.
“Best stadium in the whole world,” said Russell.
They were not the only Ruckus fans having a blast Sunday.
Jen Roller and her family came out to tailgate ahead of the game. She said this season has been incredible as more people have been able to come out.
"The comfort with people getting vaccinated, the amazing protocols the front office is taking to keep everyone safe, the fans safe, supporters safe, and everyone, turnout is amazing.” said Roller.
The Lions now have one game regular season game left.
Orlando City is still fighting for a playoff spot, a win would have sealed the deal but the Lions got a draw with Nashville Sunday.
