"My deepest gratitude to those of you who supported my candidacy for all these months," the self-help guru and author said in post on her campaign website. "The ideas we discussed are important, and I hope they'll find seed in other ways and in other campaigns."
Williamson's announcement comes a week after reports that she laid off her entire campaign staff at the end of December because of financial concerns.
"To the remaining Democratic candidates, I wish you all the best on the road ahead," Williamson said. "It was an honor being among you."
Williamson had little experience in politics. She ran an unconventional campaign and often talked about things like "the power of love." Williamson did, however, gain enough support to qualify in some of the early debates.
Just last week, Julián Castro, the only Latino in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race, ended his campaign.
