NATIONWIDE – Girl Scout cookie season is upon us, and with it comes a new flavor.

The new cookie is called Lemon-Ups and it's a crispy lemon cookie with inspirational messages such as "I am a go-getter" and "I am an innovator."
Lemon-Ups will be available in select markets, replacing the Savannah Smiles cookie. The new cookies are not, however, to be confused with the popular Lemonades, which are shortbread cookies coated with lemon-flavored icing.
Girl Scout cookies will also feature "refreshed packaging" this season. The organization said the new packaging will reflect "what the cookie program is all about." Images on the packaging will include Girl Scouts taking part in a variety of activities, including camping and designing robots.
"When you purchase cookies you are helping girls power their Girl Scout experience and you're supporting female entrepreneurs," Girl Scouts CEO Sylvia Acevedo said in a news release.
