NATIONWIDE – Here's a story that's sure to make 90s kids rejoice.
- "Legends of the Hidden Temple" is being revived
- This version of the game show will feature adult contestants
- Some elements from original 90s show to be brought back
Legends of the Hidden Temple, the popular Nickelodeon game show, is being revived by Quibi.
"Dwayne Johnson is the only rock coming to Quibi. Legends of the Hidden Temple Quibi. 2020," the company tweeted Monday.
The new version of the game show will have a few twists. Unlike the original show, which featured kid contestants, adults will be competing. And instead of being set in a studio, the game show will take place in a jungle. Also, the challenges will be a lot "tougher."
In the original Legends of the Hidden Temple, teams of two answered trivia questions and completed challenges for a chance to win prizes. The new version of the show will keep some elements from the original, such as the Temple Run and Olmec, the talking temple gatekeeper.
The new Legends of the Hidden Temple is set to stream exclusively on Quibi, which launches in 2020.
