OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program is bringing holiday cheer to children in need.

  • Angel Tree program helps families in need
  • The program provides Christmas gifts for those who can't afford them
  • This year over 300 children will be served

The Angel Tree program by the Salvation Army is helping families who can't afford gifts on their child's Christmas list. This a holiday tradition that happens each year.

Orange County’s distribution will be happening on Tuesday December 17.

Last year 59 families were served in Osceola County, this year that number grew to 150 families, with 300 kids being served.

The Executive Director of the Salvation Army’s Osceola Service Center said that at the beginning of the year, around March, they were getting about 35 calls from people requesting assistance.

Now he says that number has doubled to like 60 residents, with people requesting assistance for different needs in Osceola County.
