FLORIDA — Rep. Ross Spano (R-Florida) joined Political Connections to discuss the latest on Capitol Hill, along with the number one issue affecting Floridians.

Spano represents U.S. House District 15, which covers parts of Hillsborough County and Polk County. He formerly served the Florida House of Representative’s 59th district.
The congressman faced Democratic candidate Kristen Carlson in the 2018 midterm elections for the District 15 seat, ultimately defeating her with 53 percent of the vote.
While speaking to Political Connections’ Al Ruechel, Spano touched upon issues like transportation, infrastructure, campaign finance accusations against him, and health care in Florida.
He suggested implementing alternative systems of health insurance.
“… what's going to happen is we're going to definitely end up in a single payer system if we don't offer an alternative right, and we're not going to have ‘Medicare For All.’ We're going to have bad health care for all is what we're going to have," he told Ruechel.
