CENTRAL FLORIDA -- Lots of sunshine early Thursday quickly gave way to more cloud cover and storms around lunchtime and continued through the afternoon.

Some of the storms were a little stronger with gusty wind and heavy rain.
Temperatures did make it to around 90 degrees before the showers started, but cooled down as rain rolled through. A similar setup is expected over the next couple of days.
A few lingering showers will be possible early tonight, then mostly cloudy heading into Friday morning. Temperatures will fall into the mid to low 70s as we head toward daybreak.
No big changes expected for Friday with partly sunny skies in the morning, then mostly cloudy skies and a decent chance for showers and storms during the afternoon. Some of the storms could be on the stronger side with frequent lightning and high wind.
Temperatures will be around 90 degrees. Expect a lot of the same to start out the weekend.

Beach conditions will be favorable Friday, but watch for developing storms. There will also be a high UV index, so grab the sunscreen!
Tropical Update
In the tropics, Tropical storm Beryl formed Thursday afternoon well out in the central Atlantic.
Beryl will encounter some unfavorable conditions as it moves west toward the Lesser Antilles and may weaken quickly before even reaching land. Beryl is not a threat to Florida.
There is another disturbance near Bermuda with a chance for tropical formation. This disturbance will also not be a threat as it moves north between Bermuda and the United States.
