ORLANDO, Fla. — There’s a place in Central Florida constantly producing chocolate for its visitors.

What You Need To Know

  • Chocolate Kingdom in Orlando is a store and factory where high-quality sweets are produced daily

  • Guests can visit the facility, tour the operation and learn how chocolate is made from start to finish

  • The walking tour shows the long history of chocolate and how the process begins from a fruit

  • Guests can choose the ingredients and have their own custom chocolate bar made

Chocolate Kingdom is both a store and factory where they produce high-quality sweets daily.

Owner Edgar Schaked, who has been producing chocolate for nearly 30 years, wants people to have an experience when visiting the factory at 9901 Hawaiian Ct. in Orlando.

“We want people to feel happy, to be like a kid in a candy store. And really understand how chocolate is made,” Schaked said.

He’s a third-generation chocolatier who’s created a Willy Wonka like-experience where chocolate is the focus near International Drive.

Aside from the store, a 45-minute tour is available where guests learn everything about chocolate, including its long rich history around the world. It includes an on-property greenhouse where the operation grows cacao.

“With cacao, they figured out how to take the seed out of this fruit and make it into the No. 1 flavor in the world. Unbelievable,” Schaked said.

The tour is geared for all ages, including children, and the tour guide joins forces with a prince and his dragon into a one-of-a-kind Chocolate Museum, a Mystical River of Chocolate and a bean-to-the-bar factory utilizing old-world machinery.

“It’s a combination of a walking tour with a guide and video animation for children that includes taste testing along the way,” Schaked said.

At the end of the tour, guests get to customize a 7-ounce chocolate bar by selecting the type of chocolate they want and three ingredients to add. They can even name the bar for an extra $9.

The Chocolate Kingdom Adventure Tour costs $24 for adults and $20 for children ages 4-12 years old. Reservations are made online.
