PHOTOS: A snow day in Florida
It was a historic day across the Florida Panhandle on Tuesday with many areas saw more than 6 inches of snow.
A strong cold front pushed through the state of Florida two days prior to the event, setting the stage for historic snowfall.
Temperatures continued to drop on Monday and into Tuesday up in the Panhandle.
As the snow came in on Tuesday, temperatures fell even more.
A total of 9.8 inches of snow was observed in Milton on Tuesday, the highest snowfall ever recorded in the state of Florida. Read more...
