Tracking Helene

Tropical Storm Helene has developed and will pass by the west coast on Thursday as a hurricane.

It's possible that Helene could undergo rapid intensification in the eastern Gulf, making landfall as a major hurricane in the Big Bend.

Helene will be well to our west, but any outer bands rolling across central Florida could produce locally heavy rain, gusty wind, and an isolated tornado.

Helene exits quickly early Friday leaving us with a few scattered showers and highs back to around 90.
