AMC Theatres is giving veterans and active-duty military the chance to see “Thank You for Your Service” for free.

Universal Pictures, the studio distributing the movie, has announced that up to 10,000 tickets will be given out at more than 400 AMC locations nationwide.

The free tickets will be available on Thursday, Oct. 26 for the 7 p.m. preview screening of DreamWorks Pictures’ “Thank You for Your Service.”

The first 25 service members at each location with a valid, government-issued VA or military ID to request a ticket that day will be given free admission.

All AMC Theatres playing the film are offering the promotion, according to a news release.

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and can only be picked up at an AMC box office.

“Once we began a discussion with AMC about how we could embody the spirit and message of “Thank You for Your Service,” they stepped up to the plate in a major way,” said Jim Orr, executive vice president and general sales manager of Universal Pictures.

“Thank You For Your Service,” which hits theaters Oct. 27, follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to integrate back into civilian life.
