Books in hand, Mugan’s students gather to read. There is an eagerness the students have thanks to Mugan, who is passionate about teaching them.
“It’s more than just a paycheck for us,” she expressed. “Your heart is in it. These kids look up to you every single day. Expect you to be there for them not only academically but also socially and emotionally for them. These are my kids and I treat them just like my own kids.”
The mother of four said the school atmosphere at BridgePrep Academy is conducive to learning.
“I feel that it’s a little more personal. The class sizes are small, and I feel like I can give my kids more individual attention that they need,” she said. “I instantly felt that family environment all through the entire school and knew that I wanted to be a part of that.”
