LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Get your costumes ready: Disney World on Monday announced new details coming to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year.


What You Need To Know


The Halloween-themed event filled with trick-or-treating and spooky fun will return to Magic Kingdom on select nights starting Aug. 9, and will run through Oct. 31, according to park officials.

Dates for the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party:

  • Aug. 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30
  • Sept. 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
  • Oct. 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31

This is a separately-ticketed event. Tickets will go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on May 8, according to Disney, and tickets will go on sale for all other guests on May 15. Here’s what guests can expect this year, according to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog:

  • New costumes for Mickey and Minnie: Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse can be seen sporting new neon spiderweb outfits, ready to greet park-goers.

  • More sightings of Villains: Guests can expect to see more villains roaming throughout the park this year at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
  • DescenDANCE Party: A new dance party inspired by the upcoming Disney Original Movie “Descendants: The Rise of Red,” which will take place at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
  • Appearance from Bruno: For the first time during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, park-goers can meet Bruno Madrigal from “Encanto” along with Mirabel at their Casita in Fairytale Garden.
  • Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade to start earlier: Disney announced that Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade will take place at an earlier time this year at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so younger guests can attend the event before bedtime.

New themed merchandise will be available for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2024, which will include an Ear Headband.

Park-goers can also expect returning fun this year, including trick-or-treating throughout Magic Kingdom, “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show hosted by Jack Skellington and the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, according to Disney.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party will take place as well, featuring fireworks viewing from Plaza Garden or Tomorrowland Terrace. Reservations open on June 7, Disney officials stated.
