LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Disney World has shared a few more details about changes coming to its theme park reservation rules next year as part of an effort to make trip planning “easier.”
What You Need To Know
- Good-to-Go Days for passholders to begin next year
- On select days, passholders will not need a reservation to visit a theme park
- Disney has announced that the first set of good-to-go days will be shared on Jan. 11
- All-day park hopping also returns in January
In May, the resort announced that it would be making more updates to policies that were implemented during the pandemic. One of those changes would be the addition of “Good-to-Go” days for passholders—select days when pass holders won’t need reservations to visit the theme parks.
Disney on Monday announced that the first set of good-to-go days would be revealed on Jan. 11. That doesn’t mean that’s when good-to-go days will start, but rather when they will be added to the online passholder calendar and the calendar on the My Disney Experience app.
The dates will be added periodically to the calendars, sometimes even days or weeks in advance, according to Disney,
Passholder blockout dates will still apply on good-to-go days.
In January, Disney will also bring back all-day park hopping. Starting Jan. 9, park visitors with the park hopper option on their ticket will be able to “hop” to another park anytime during park hours. Currently, visitors have to wait until after 2 p.m.
On days that reservations are required, passholders will need to visit the park they have a reservation for before going to another park.
Disney is also lifting the requirement for park reservations on date-based tickets and bringing back dining plans on Jan. 9.
The changes are part of an ongoing effort by Disney to improve the guest experience at its parks after listening to visitor feedback.
