Disney Cruise Line on Tuesday shared concept art of the Haunted Mansion Parlor — the company’s first bar inspired by the classic attraction.
The themed lounge will be designed to look like a “first-class drawing room” on a classic cruise liner with touches from the attraction, including a custom musical arrangement inspired by the ride’s original score.
Through its decor, the lounge will tell the “next chapter” in the Haunted Mansion story, focusing on a captain whose disastrous dinner with his fiancé landed him in the ghostly realm, according to Disney.
Included throughout the space will be nods to the attraction, including purple wallpaper, ghoulish faces in a portrait gallery and the armchair Disney fans refer to as the Donald Duck chair.
Disney also said that legendary characters from the Haunted Mansion attractions around the world along with new characters will materialize in the lounge.
One piece of concept artwork Disney released Tuesday shows the Hitchhiking Ghosts in a mirror behind the bar.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor will also have a selection of themed cocktails. A purple drink called Ghoulish Delight will incorporate fudge, oat milk and tapioca pearls with a gummy eyeball garnish. There will also be a “spooky twist” on the classic margarita — the drink offering a secret message that can only be revealed by black light.
Disney will also offer exclusive merchandise tied to the bar, including the Haunted Mansion Parlor Music Box, a mantle clock and a parlor mirror with hitchhiking ghosts.
Disney previously announced the Disney Treasure would feature a venues inspired by Jungle Cruise and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
The upcoming ship will be the sixth in Disney’s growing fleet. Currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, the Disney Treasure will begin sailing from Port Canaveral on Dec. 21, 2024, offering seven-night itineraries to eastern and western Caribbean.
