ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney’s Animal Kingdom has welcomed another baby animal.

A Nile hippopotamus calf was born Monday at the park’s Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction.
Some park visitor at the attraction on Monday were able to spot the newborn.
Disney plans to share more updates about the newest arrival in the coming days. In the meantime, park officials say the animal care experts are giving mom and calf plenty of space to bond.
The baby hippo is the latest animal birth at Animal Kingdom this year. In June, a male Masai giraffe calf was born at the park. Other animal births include a baby mandrill in April and a baby Hartmann’s mountain zebra in May.
