ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando has a new coaster on the way and construction has been progressing.

Universal's theme parks, which have been closed since mid-March in response to the coronavirus pandemic, reopened to passholders and special guests this week. And fans were treated with a view of the Jurassic Park coaster, which is currently under construction at Islands of Adventure.
The coaster, which not been officially announced by Universal, is located right next to the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. Many have referred to the coaster as the "Velocicoaster," due to a trademark filing Universal made before construction began.
No details have been officially released about the coaster, but its hard to ignore the beams and track pieces that have emerged from behind the construction walls.
Universal continued work on some of its construction projects during the shutdown.
The theme parks officially reopen to the public on June 5.
