The new 14-acre land at Disney's Hollywood Studios is set in Black Spire Outpost, a remote trading port on the planet of Batuu. In addition to a marketplace, a cantina and a replica of the Millennium Falcon, the settlement is home to plenty of villagers (Disney cast members) who have their own way of speaking.
The locals use phrases that could confuse first-time time visitors. But no need to worry. This handy guide will help you learn some of lingo.
You'll be speaking like a Batuuan in no time.
Bright suns – It's the greeting of choice in Black Spire Outpost when saying "hello" or "good morning."
Rising moons – Often uttered by locals at night, it translates to "good evening."
'Til the spires – It's one of the ways locals say "goodbye."
May the spires keep you – This phrases is a send-off, like "wish you well."
Refreshers – If you need to find a restroom, you'd ask where the refreshers are.
Hydrators – It's what the locals call water fountains.
Younglings, Padawans – These two phrases can be used interchangeably to mean "children."
