OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A 400-acre brush fire in Osceola County is now contained. 

Multiple fire departments battled the flames Friday evening in the Bull Creek area, a few people were forced to evacuate.

  •  This brush fire comes as several counties are under a burn ban including unincorporated Osceola County

  •  The cause of the brush fire is unknown

  • The Florida Division of Forestry is currently in charge of cleanup

The Florida Division of Forestry is in charge of cleanup. 

There is no official report on any injuries, but three people off Palm Frond road were evacuated. 

“Very fortunate. We were able to get the fire under control without any further exposure to structures. Certainly, we don’t want to lose any structures that we can, but, if we can mitigate it as much as we can, that’s the best we can hope for,” Joshua Holder, Public Information Officer for Osceola County Fire & EMS said. 

Holder said the fire destroyed a vehicle, a shed, and three camper trailers. 

As for what caused this brush fire, that’s unknown at this time.
