Central North Carolina experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

This system will pull away from the state during the night and leave us with cooler weather for Saturday.

Expect mostly cloudy skies tonight, as any remaining showers will end as the sun sets.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny. Daytime heating could lead to a few scattered afternoon showers. The odds of a shower are low, so most areas will be dry on Saturday with cool daytime highs.

We will see more sunshine for the second half of our weekend on Sunday and warmer afternoon temperatures.
